Voices for Choices is a user led group set up to help people with lived experience of mental distress in Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland to work together to improve services, challenge stigma and discrimination and to speak up about the issues that matter to us.
Getting involved in Voices for Choices is a way for you to:
- share your experiences
- find out what is happening locally
- raise awareness of the issues affecting service users and carers
- contribute to the improvement of mental health services and support
- meet others with similar interests
The Voices for Choices Forum meets four times a year and is a safe and supportive space to explore issues and get involved in whatever way suits you. We can provide links to training and support if this would help you get involved and we will also fund reasonable travel expenses to support your involvement.

If you think you would like to do more, Voices for Choices can help you become involved in other activities to influence and improve services.
